Do you remember how many crinolines were required to keep your poodle skirt flared, what a D.A. was, why there was at least one dime in your penny loafers? Even if you don't remember these things, join us for the Donor Appreciation Celebration on August 16. For more information click on DAC.

There are only 2 grant cycles this year. The next deadline for grants is October 30, 2009. Note that there are changes in the application form and directions.

What is a foundation, anyway?

A foundation is a sort of nonprofit savings account.  Your donations are invested, and the income of the investment is used to fund, through grants and scholarships, activities that support the goals of the foundation and the goals of each fund, as established by the fund founder.

Why do you exist?

RCCF is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all present and future citizens in Roscommon County. Working with local individuals, groups and organizations, RCCF is committed to: Supporting its comunities through the creation of permanent endowment funds; Protecting and adminstering our donor's investments, made in support of our communities; demonstrating concern for the youth of our communities and the many issues affecting their future; recognizing the value and importance of our natural environment now and for the future; improving and building the future for our families and our children's families.

Ten years ago, the vision of several caring community leaders was “first a dream”.  Today the dream is alive and improving the quality of life in Roscommon County, thanks to the generosity and support from many caring individuals connected to our communities.

As of June 30, 2008, RCCF has been entrusted by our donors to administer over $5,500,000 in endowments, supporting grants and scholarships in and for Roscommmon County.

Through the generosity of a wide variety of donors, we provide grants, scholarships and develop sustainable partnerships to encourage positive change. In the past year, your investments were put to work through distributions of $283,516.00 in grants and scholarships. These provided support to schools, students, fire departments, the hungry, and encouraged pride in our lakes and waterways.

Keep in mind that in these economic times, charitable organizations need you, working through RCCF. to get us through tough times.
