The Students of the St. Michael’s Youth Group Were Recently Awarded a Grant

The Students of the St. Michael’s Youth Group were recently awarded a Grant in the amount of $1,660.00 to assist them in the preparation and distribution of Hygiene Kits in the Roscommon County area. The funds were provided from the Roscommon County General Fund ($660.00) and the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Fundraiser ($1,000.00), both of which are funds of the Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF).

The Hygiene Kits consist of many basic personal items including shampoo, tooth brush and tooth paste, deodorant, band aids, hand lotion, soap and razor, all of which is contained in a gallon zip lock bag. The kits are then distributed as needed through St. Vincent DePaul, the River House and the Roscommon Elementary School to those in need. The group estimated that they will provide in excess of 300 completed kits this year.
